First service

Featured Replies

Going to attempt service on my Octavia 1.6  2016 , I’ve only ever done petrol cars previously,

What do I need ..... ?

Filters etc , cheers

If a first service as in after 1 year or 15,000 miles from new maybe just the Oil, Oil Filter & Sump Plug.

& lots of looking and checking.

If not a new car under a year old,

Oil, Oil Filter, Sump Plug, Pollen Filter, Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Air for Tyres, Wipers checked, Brake Fluid Changed, Coolant Strength Checked, Doors / Hatch hinges lubbed,

Brakes Striped and cleaned etc etc.

But all, that depends on what it has had last time, how many km covered, age of car ect.

PS

Wash and Vacuum.

You forgot the most important things

Top up washer fluid

Hang air freshener on mirror

:giggle:

Reset service indicator might be useful too but not obligatory....
