abs and trac light on

Featured Replies

Firstly, check the fuse strips on top of the battery. Look very carefully as they can develop very fine cracks.

Yep, it'll be fuse 6, with a thick red/green wire, on your car.

Must admit, it looks OK.  Try giving it a gentle poke in the middle of the thinnest area. Or remove it and see if it breaks as you do so.

There are two other fuses for the ABS on the battery fuseholder, fuse 7, a blade fuse just to the right of those strip fuses under a cover, with a thinner red/green wire going to it,  and fuse 9 or 10 (depending on build date) with a red/white wire going to it. Have a look at those?

Checked those all good

If the battery voltage at the module is too low, it may not let you activate some things, I guess. Got a charger?

Yup lol on charge worth a try feel like crying all this hassle lol but love the car

Recently my abs/asr lights were on permanently, lack of brakes, garage checked it out and the rear o/s abs sensor wasn't powering up. So new abs sensor and it's sorted. 2006 vrs, can you get it checked by vag.com or vcds.
