Now my Octavia is 4 years old with 45000 on the clock I am thinking of doing my service myself.

 

Where is the Oil Filter on this engine can't quite see were it is?

 

Fuel Filter there are two different kinds One with Water collector and One without how do I know which filter I need.

 

Any Ideas or photo's.

Has the DSG had an oil change at 40,000 miles?

Oil filter is accessed from underneath, at the front.  You need to remove the under-engine tray/cover.

 

I thought the fuel filter was a replacement paper element (but I can't remember for sure).

DSG oil change & filter every 40k.

Had my DSG oil and filter done at 30000 miles so think anyway as there no signs of it being done.
