Alloy wheel repair :(

Featured Replies

hey all

probably loads of threads around on this but my search didnt pull them up....

the better (!) half took the VRS out today and took a 2cm chunk out of one of the rear rims, its not too bad, and doesnt affect the seal with the tyre, but i remember hearing of others who have had similar repairs?

are they any good?

are there are mobile guys that do this kind of work, like "dents away" style people?

and i`m now in the Maidenhead (Berks) area, anyone know any companies round this way?

Cheers

I needed to get an alloy repaired that I bought as a spare. I took it to a local alloy place and it was about £50 from memory and you can't tell its been done.

I was thinking of using Wicked Wheels (http://www.wickedwheels.co.uk/) who offer a mobile service but they were about £10 more from memory and as it was a spare I didn't need it for a couple of days.

There are loads of fabias in the breakers so get a price for a s/hand wheel as well

cheers,

damage is bad enough to warrent a new wheel, unless i can get one cheap and keep this one as a spare.... it still functions well, hasnt lost any pressure etc....

any know how much you can pick up an A1 condition wheel from a breaks for a Fabia VRS?

Also what about from a dealer, how much for a new one?

will contact wicked wheels for a quote.

Andy
