15.62s Quarter Today at Santa Pod

Featured Replies

Decided to go to Santa Pod today with some mates and try my car out on the quarter mile. My best time was a 15.624 @ 88.91mph which I was pretty happy with. I've got a Green Panel Filter, Cupra Intake and an AMD One Click and to be honest I expected around the 16's mark so was chuffed with getting it in the 15's.

Traction wasn't too good off the mark though. I kept the traction control off and didn't get round to trying with it on so unsure whether it would be slightly better or not. :)

I was surprissed that I didn't see any other Fabia owners there though, the weather turned out pretty good while I was there.

Just for info, my mate ran his Audi S4 (modded with 430bhp) and done a 12.72s, I've a long way to go to get it down to that!!

sounds about right, mine was 15.52 down the pod with the TC on

mine was 14.84 with cupra intake, green panel filter, pikey mod 1 & 2 and no tcs, oh! and a jabba custom remap.

Thats a damned good time. I managed a 15.4 a few weeks ago, but traction was pretty bad.

the car only had approx 6,000 miles on but was running sweet as a nut and i got the best launch i've ever managed. on top of that i did have no spare wheel or parcel shelf. back seats where in the car still though. just under 1/4 of a tank of petrol left. iirc my terminal speed was something like 95 mph and the 0-60 sprint was acomplished in 6.6 seconds. this was done at elvington in early 2005.

I managed a 6.6 0-60 too, not as quick 1/4 mile though :(
