DAB suddenly stopped

Featured Replies

So on my drive in to work this morning, DAB was fine, I was listening to 5 Live. But on my way home, I have no DAB signal at all. There is a line through the antenna symbol as if to indicate no signal. I tried a scan and it said "no stations found" and my dab radios at home are fine, so there's no network issue.

Any ideas? Is there a factory reset for the radio?

thanks

Does FM  or AM work? If they do, then the antenna is probably OK.  Might just be switch off for a bit or a reset. DAB radios are clever, but complicated and a software glitch can take them out.

Sorted. Found an old thread of Sasha's suggesting the antenna connector might have fallen off. It hadn't, but I took the radio out from inside the glovebox (easier and more cable length than I expected), removed the power plug for a few minutes then plugged it back in and all was well. So clearly a software glitch!

My DAB has always been crap and kept going dead .... as in listen to a song and I would get the line signal through the antenna 2 or 3 times per song on most stations.  Recently however seems to have started working with no input from me at all??

That's good. I was going to suggest poor reception on your latest detour. :giggle:
