People are puzzled as to why i traded in  beemer for a Yeti. Even the wife says its an old mans car and im 44. It's a fabulous machine and i bloidy love it. Best car i have ever owned.

Not too surprised you love your Yeti, I have owned 2 BMW's which were heavy and over rated. My wife's Boss thought her Karoq was a BMW probably due to the front grill and LED lights. My Skoda was cheaper than my neighbour's BMW 420D yet much better equipped and 150bhp more powerful. The joke has turned from driving a Skoda to us now poking fun at the badge snobs in their BMW's, Audi's, Mercedes, Jaguar and Volvo's.:inlove:

I was a Yeti owner from 38 to 40 inclusive. It is a fantastic car, but I did notice that the vast majority of owners were of... err, more mature years.

That said, every time we visit a National Trust place there seem to be a higher than average quota of Skodas in the car park!

Ah yes, i also have my obligatory National Trust sticker proudly displayed in my window. And yes, BMW'S vastly over rated, much prefer the Yeti, 12 months in now and still adore it. I guess Yeti owners know their own minds a little better.

A warm welcome to the Forum !  I come from a long term ownership if MB W124s and even earlier Mk 2 Jags.  We road tested and read up on all, including BMW and Audi.  I didn't like the driving position much on the Beemer and as Audi are related to Skoda, went for a Skoda in 2017, Octavia 1.5TSI and have so far had no regrets.

I love the Yeti, or Menk as it's called in Russia. I might die before ever owning a BMW.

I feel the same about owning a Mercedes. Hearses that I have seen locally tend to be Volvo or Merc so it be my first and last experience of either make. Shame I won't notice if they are comfortable cars to ride in (let me out I'm still alive).:tongueout:

Yeti is a great car and probably more reliable the beemer as well!
