Do replacement expansion/header tanks come with the sensor probes?

Featured Replies

Ok so really stupid question. My Fabia had a new header tank a few years ago. I think it just needs a coolant change, however I’m bored and like looking at car parts!

The last one cost me around £30, and as I’ve been told on here the sensor “prongs” are integral to the bottle.

so if a new tank (like this one https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Skoda_Fabia_1.4_2003/p/car-parts/cooling/car-cooling-parts-and-car-heating/expansion-tank/?205440680&1&24788b17aedc27314d5a72224345d4f6ed79fbd5&000125 ) is only £11, then do the prongs and lid come separate?

cleatly I can ring/email, but people in here are generally far more knowledgeable

The prongs are moulded into the tank when it's made but the cap is separate. So...

Brilliant thanks very much. If I need a new one at least I can recycle the lid!
