The Adblue level on my Superb seems to have been on 5000 miles for a while with an indicated 0.75 gals as the min & max top-up. So today, i poured in 3 litres of the stuff, turned on the ignition for over a minute before switching on but the level hasn't changed. Took the car for a short run to see if that would help but it still shows 5000 miles.   Anything I'm missing here?   Is there any instances of the level monitor failing? - it's due a service next week so if nothing moves by then, I'll mention it but just worried in case there's something obvious I'm missing.

It would have been dropping soon to 4,500 mile range.

Maybe stick in a couple of more litres and then there might be a bit of a change in range seeing as 3 litres has made no difference.

3 litres is not 0.75 of an Imperial Gallon of 4.546 litres.

I really wouldn't worry about it @millerhouse. Mine is exactly the same, showing the same large range for thousands of miles then dropping by five hundred or a thousand in one move. As I recall the warning comes on to the maxi-dot at 1,500 miles range which is plenty of warning for most. Then just add a 10 litre container. It's much cheaper than buying smaller containers (unless you are topping up from a pump at the service station of course).

I can do the maths - just didn't think it would be that critical.   In any case, the 3 litres was an approximate figure. I got a 6 litres from Aldi a little while ago & simply added slightly more than half of that as I didn't want to overfill it. I added a bit more this morning with no immediate result but later in the day the range figure jumped up to 6500 so at least I know it's working. I'll add the rest of the container now and leave it at that. I was concerned because the only time I've put in Adblue previously (via a filling station pump), the figure changed straight away. Thanks for the replies.

I'm in a similar position of topping up a decent amount, turn on the ignition for 60s but no change to the range.

This has happened before when the car took 3 days to update the range.

I check on the display when it says itll take over 10 litres and put in 10 litres at once, i done this everytime since new and always works grand.

Just topped mine up for the 1st time today. It said on the display 2000 miles and showed fill quantity min 3.5 litres, max 8.5 litres. I interpreted that as it would take 8.5 litres max to fill it up. I guess I’ve misunderstood as I put 10 litres in and now it’s only showing 8000 miles on the range, (it was 10000 when I bought the car so I assume that’s full).

I did it off the pump at BP. Does it cut out when full like when you fill up with fuel? As it was my 1st time doing it I was reluctant to keep going incase it didn’t and it went everywhere!

Yes they cut off just like a fuel pump.
