I have a 2016 L&K and was wondering about VCDS.....I know the L&K is already well appointed in terms of bells and whistles, but there must be some really good options that could be added on using some coding with VCDS too?

 

The first one that springs to mind is High beam assist, I presume this is doable?    What other options are possible?   I’m not too interested in tweaking the drivetrain or anything like that, more interested in unlocking the full potential in terms of extra options...

 HBA is certainly do-able on the L&K. 

As Gizmo says, there are a lot of things that can be done. Many of them will already be enabled on your L&K, but one worth checking out in addition to HBA is Traffic Sign Recognition. I also changed traction control to strong and others have adjusted the throttle to Audi setting to reduce throttle lag. Depending on how confident you feel and how many mods you intend to make, it might be cheaper to get a local VCDS expert to do it for you in return for some beer vouchers. There is a sticky thread at the top of this section with a map showing locations of members who do this.

Funnily enough the car was ordered with the Traffic sign recognition as an option, so that’s one less to do.

I hopefully will be picking up a 2016 L&K 190 DSG at the end of the month and will be looking to get the audi pedal done and I want my rear lights on all the time. no matter what I do with the light switch (like my volvo)

I have a Carista dongle and I'm sure both of the things you've mentioned can be done with that (saves trying to find someone with VCDS unless you have one yourself) 

I can't recall the exact controller/module to modify but there's defo an L&K logo which you can select as the 'splash screen' on the display between the dials, when you turn on the ignition.  Also one for vRS and Greenline but sadly no Sportline option....

Cheers for the offer..... but the price of the ferry would probably make it uneconomical for me (I'm in Ireland)
