Changes on MY2020?

Featured Replies

Does someone know what kind of changes that comes to the new Superb 2020 compared to today's model? :)

Any new engines? DSG? Interior, equipment etc? I know it's a little bit changes on the design.

I really wonder about ordering a new car, but should I wait for the 2020 model? :)

Don’t forget that there’ll also be ‘great, new tech’. Or class-leading chrome finishes on the DSG’s ARS.

Only the Model T had a more restrictive colour palette

It will be massively better value than the equivalent Audi or VW model. Oh sorry - just realised you are looking for things that are different from today...

One is called Meteoric and the other Battleship.:o

Where is Derren Brown when you need him or a Factory Insider that tells Auto Express all about what the future holds.

Derren here I predict it will have LED head/tail lights plus a hybrid option combining petrol and battery power.

I predict less choice as the next part of WLTP / RDE affects the VW Group / Skoda.

Should I wait for the 2020 model or just book a car now? if the biggest change is only the LED and the hybrid?

Order it now - they change it a little bit every year.

Or...

Of course - We all do. But we're sworn to secrecy.

Loads. The highlight will be the water-driven 5 litre 8 cylinder improbability drive coupled to an 18 speed DSG giving class-leading figures of 0-60 in 0.4 nano-seconds and 1852 miles per gallon on an urban cycle (at 900 spin speed of course).

Buy it now. My predictions are about as accurate as Skoda's:).

Then I wait! I really want this one... :)

Dealer mentioned to me that he thinks they will be removing the 'switch start/stop function off' button. Whether thats for MY20 or beyond I'm not sure but that's a feature I wouldn't want to lose personally!

I really don't want to loose that button myself..

Replacing with a ejector seat button.  Or a 'we can no longer cheat emissions' light.

On the 1.5tsi it will get a "push to go" button.

What, like one of those revolutionary acceleratorometers?

Multiple ejector seats would be nice, but electric roof essential otherwise mother-in-law might hurt her neck before departing.:wall:

Sounds like you're in the Bristol Mafia.:bandit:

key changes from wat i've spotted/read

- revised headlights (now featuring LED units)

- revised front bumper

- revised rear tail lights

- hybrid option

- rear skoda emblem badge to b replaced with spaced out lettering

MY19 already has the WLTP engines, newer DSG7, and Virtual Cockpit.

@JR RS

Cars First Registered in Europe since September 2018 should be & require to WLTP Certificated unless they were under Derogation Rules. & end of line models.

So Worldwide Light Vehicle Test Procedures that not all the worlds countries and authorities are trusting, so we have the RDE,

and later will be tighter testing and testing of those that were tested.

So just watch the changes because there are still 'implausible / irregular' C02 g/km figures some or many from the WLTP Approved / Certificated vehicles.
