Berlin based company IIRC, OK if everything goes smoothly but if you had to return for some reason, might get awkward/expensive.  Bought a brake caliper from them once with a rebate on return of an old one.  They tried a few tactics to not pay me the rebate, but I won in the end.  More hassle than it was worth for the cheaper price.

Use a local independent motor factors before they all disappear...

@VWD: two things:

1. May be worth searching for your preferred items on fleabay as "not as described" returns are pretty straightforward.

2. In case you don't have one already autodoc sent a discount code of MAR19 in this morning's email.

Prices at local one vary depending on person serving. But with 4less and Euro being almost identical for price ( at HALF my local one) , only choice is do I pick it up to day or wait possibly up to 4 dys for 4less to deliver . Again I could ask SIL to get price ,as he has an account. But I've found that some of the parts at local inde are not as good as the likes of 4less. Example- I've had two lots of drop links in past few years fail on MOT after a year or so. Last time ( two years ago, I got them from 4lss  and no problems).

Local inde's have got to wake up and smell the coffee- they can make a killing from both trade and public by offering the same deals as on line retailers do. e.g. rear shock for mine. Nearly £60 in local inde. Same item ,as in identical make etc from Euro was circa £25.

I know what you mean vwd,

I needed an aux-belt and tensioner  for the insignia about 18months ago.

I got one in my local indy as i needed it same day. But it was the same price as ecp for the same branded kit.

Rang the same indy for a set of brake pads and was quoted near double what i got them from ecp for. Fact they constantly have massive discount sales on helps massively.

Ecp have now also partnered/bought Team P Reilly over here, so i can do now do click and collect locally on most stuff, rather than even needing to pay and wait for delivery..

Found another problem recently. A couple of years ago, I had a fuel leak problem, Cured with a temporary fix from my SIL, biker bloke. I tried local Skoda dealer to find their solution was a complete of ful pipes-cost circa £160 plus £160 labour. Local TPS had a solution "fuel pipe flexible ,cut to size. Cost £0.50. Problem is that now TPS ONLY deal with trade orders and all enquiries are referred to local Stealer. Who, locally IMHO has not got any interest in selling you a dealer only part at a decent price. I got my shock at ECP, but they didn't stock the bottom bolt. That is the oneI'd have liked to change, as it's ends is full of crap, and the nut integrity could be compromised.

Sticky- YEP a discount of almost 20 % , is welcome, on top of their PRICES, but add in almost £9 delivery and ECP & CP4LESS come a lot nearer. ECP are slightly dearr than CP4less, but I can collect today at ECP, not wait til cp4less decides to deliver.
