I havent done this but if you do a search for aero wipers there is a thread on it. You can use the golf Mk4 set which you can buy from Vag parts.

Would the Bora ones be a better fit at all and are there aeros for the rear?

Ta

I got mine from Vag Parts, the Golf Mk4 set fit fine. I imagine the Bora ones are probably exactly the same.

Hi, is it an easy job to fit these? I noticed there is a rear aero wiper for the Golf Mk4 on VAG parts.

How much did it cost all in?

Just got a set from 1stautobulbs...

Going the route of the Aero as soon as the warrenty expires.

Thinking of doing Arms from dealers and Blades from halfrauds (BOSCH ones are £18.99 a pair) as this will get me a similar price and no devilvery charges.

Can I ask are the VAG parts ones genuine VAG parts?

Thanks

IIRC....yes.

Sorry to ask this, but has anyone tried the ones available from renault dealers that seem to bolt onto the standard arms?

I'm humming and haring between the OEM ones or just using ones that clip into standard arms.

I've fitted and can definately recommend the oem Golf IV ones from VAG parts.

They are in one word - fantastic.

The way that they clip on is far neater than the old design too.

I do wonder why for so long wipers have been so poor and ugly in design! ;)

It's the small details that count! :D

The rear one from the Golf IV won't fit unless you want to do away with the washer system because there is no way to fit it! :(

Hi there' date='

The bit you have about letting the motor returning to idle.

Do you mean you put the blades upright (12:00) to remove them then turn ignition on and let the blades come down to rest (Approx 3:00), and then fit the new arms in the correct position?

Also are there any issues with the wiper spindles being of different lenght or anything?

Thanks[/quote']

Yep that's how I did mine. There were no problems with the spindle length. As far as I could tell the spindle fittings are exactly the same.

Bonza, I know what I'll be ordering then :)

The standard arms/blades blow about and move so much at motorway speeds, they actually lift off when it's windy :S (Anyone else get this?)

I've never seen this on a car before, but that in conjunction with the annoying water drops that come off the frames for the wipers has made my mind up.

Will order them and fit as soon as the warrenty is out :)

EDIT: Additional question, but some of the later PD130 Octavias and mine according to the manual but not according to what is fitted have a rear wiper that while it isn't aero is more streamline looking. Anybody got a part number for this? Ta
