Went down today to sort the insurance out and I seen my car on the ramps all waiting to be inspected. They wont let me have it untill the 31st because of the car tax and my cover note start from the 31st (even though I could just phone my broker and it woudl all be OK). Iv'e bought cars from new before and this is the first time I've had this much hassle, didnt even need insurance notes for my last 2 just paid teh man and drove off. Is this a skoda thing coz its worse knowing my car is only 3 miles away and I have to wait 2 more sleeps GRRRRrrrrrrrrr.

Ime just getting the standard VRS and getting leather from a shop as would save about 400 BO DIDLEES and get to go Nucking Fots with the colours. As my dear old departed Grandad used to say "i'm chomping at the bit and when are you going to get a girlfriend you Fat Spotty Lazy ***

I waited for months to sort out some finances to buy mine, i know what it's like, just too excited to sleep. That stayed with me for a while after i brought it too!

I wouldn't be in too much of a rush to ditch the OEM headunit, it works well.

If you do decide to change then it isn't difficult or you could add the Skoda IPOD kit.

Spoke to the guy today and its deffo 4:30 tomorrow :P

I cant stand faffin round with discs and I ain got an IPOD (dont think they will catch on ) so what you reckon on a 6 disc mp3 changer from alpine for

Why not get a VAG 6 disk changer and put it under your passenger seat as the OEM one would be. Plenty on Ebay.

I may not have an IPOD but I still got a shed load of MP3's/WMA so I need summit taht will at least play mp3s.

If you want an in car MP3, Dension do a HDD unit that uses the CD changer connection at the back of the in car HU.

It more that capable of handling the Dension. Also you can choose how big a HDD you have.

I had an 80GB hDD in mine , but recently changed it for a 40 GB, this is plenty as i still only have 21GB of music on it.

Sweet Jesus I have never had so much fun with my pants on and have been the proud owner of a vrs for 24 hrs and am loving it. I am dissapointed with the sounds though, some impressive features on the syphony but it just doesnt cut the cheese. I have a kenwood 701 player (KDC-7031 i think model is) and want to put that in the car, any hints on what I will need for the job, facia cables etc.

Already got strut brace abd pd160 on and thinking of putting grren filter in and that will be it......I Hope. Replaced the symphony on the 3rd day for my old kenwood as I just could handle the whispering stereo. Speaker are performing Ok so they will be staying........

are the speakers ok then? when I had a listen to the stereo in one they sounded really good and it was only playing the radio!

what was wrong with the symphony?

did the kenwood fit in easily?

also how many speakers have you got? is it 6 or 8 as standard?
