The auto out here <£14300 list.......we are an established trading nation which has many trade deals......and in the growth region.

@Chris

What was done to that Jimny to have a £30,000 asking price?  Was it a G-Wagon look-alike?

Maybe the seller did not want to sell it so priced it stupid, but then there are stupid people about..

EDIT,

i see, a fashion victim.  Ramraided a DemonTweaks.

Ah yes, I just saw it was a dealer and assumed it was a standard car. £18500 is a much better price.

& that is a manual.

No new Autos available really at that price unless you add to the waiting list.

The C02 g/km is that high that Suzuki GB have to limit how many are imported and first registered due the Suzukis average C02's.

Absolutely crazy marketing strategy after all the hype.

Looks like the Jimny is starring in tonight's Fifth Gear

Although they no doubt will be doing the same old stupid tests

Just watching it now...   It seemed t do OK bat the stupid wading test which it was never going to manage given the depth!

They also had the Swift Sport on

  • 2 weeks later...

Jimny vs AMG G63 v Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. If only the Jimny had slightly more serious tyres. It's a 6 part test, not just a sprint up a hill

The disabled need not apply.......it seems.

@Ryeman

Please explain?

 EDIT,

Aa the disabled bay used for the handover video.

Not uncommon that Disabled Bays at dealerships are not available to customers with disabilities.

The answer to that is just drive into the showroom if the doors are open or drive to the front door ande toot the horn until you get their attention..

With a Jimny drive on to their rockery and toot toot em aboot.

I know someone with an Automatic fitted with hand controls.

Pretty good car for some with disabilities and they can get a wheel chair in if required.

I still can't fathom how Suzuki didn't have the mechanical capability to plan ahead and stick a modern small petrol engine that was compliant with emissions regs. Obviously it wouldn't have been totally straight forward as most of the engines they would be able to lay their hands one, where probably designed for transverse layouts, but even so...

They would have been able to sell plenty of front wheel drive version I'm confident, even that defeated the cars true raison d'être. Maybe electric or hydrogen will revive it, but they absolutely must not tinker with the external design.

They have completed screwed up the steering geometry with that conversion, just look at the positive scrub radius, I bet its an absolute pig on the road, like a shopping trolley with a mind of its own.

@J.R.  I bet it is brilliant at what it was built to actually do.

My one drove perfectly well on road, but it was not on Portal Axles,

it went places the RR Bobtails on Portals did though.
