New section for TSI engined Fabia and Estate

Featured Replies

There are an awful lot of sections, understandably, for the older Fabia and Fabia estate.

Would it be possible to add a Fabia TSI engined section to make searches clearer, please.

The only non TSi engines on the MK 111 section are the diesels and the MPIs so searches in this section should get what you want.

All new 3rd Generation Fabia from 2014 with TSI engines are Euro 6  4 cylinder 1.2

then Euro 6 & 3 cylinder 1.0 TSI's and now 1.0 TSI WLTP Certificated that have a GPF. (Gasoline Particulate Filter / Otto Filter)

Seems easy enough to anyone other than a Skoda Dealership Employee.......

Then there were the 1.4 TDI 3 Cylinders,  no longer available new.

Or the MPI's as in the thread above.  3 cylinder 1.0 those were 60ps and 75ps,  No turbos.

Should I have said 2019 Facelift tsi cars and estates, the diesels are no longer offered.

I wouldn't say it warrants a whole new section, it's just a new engine, it's not like an actual face-lift, the only considerable appearance change is the LED headlights/tail lights.

There's still an MPI model (75ps) available, and there's both new and old variants of the TSI (1.2 old and 1.0 now) models.

On a side note, my dealer is investigating  the possibility of providing a service to supply and retro-fit the LED headlights / tail lights to originally non-led models. Can't wait to see how expensive that'd be lol.

LED tail is not difficult I retrofitted and coded my A3 with the dynamic tails. Just repin and coding. Just like the Audi fronts are going to be challenging due to the auto levelling and cornering lights I would guess another module would also be needed.

The way I see this is, this section of the Fabia area of this forum only covers the Fabia MK3 - and as far as I, not a Fabia owner knows, these cars only ever had the 1.2TSI 16V version of the 1.2TSI engine, and obviously the 1.0TSI engines. Where I have issues being a 6C Polo owner is that the forum I use for VW has a single section for the 6R Polo and the 6C Polo, so when people discuss "1.2TSI" issues they can be talking about both the 1.2TSI 8V chain driven engines and the 1.2TSI 16V belt driven engines, same on the SEAT forum that I'm on, so in that respect Briskoda is ahead of the game!

There's a 75ps 1.0 MPI (3 cyl) version, might have come along about the same time as the 1.0 TSI, and there was a 1.4 TDI version, though that was discontinued very early on, to the point where i've never actually seen one (looking around they all appear to be 2015 ones, so very early MK3).

I've queried them as to purchasing the rear led light fitting to do myself (i get a few parts from them, brake pads/wipers especially, if i cannot find the part reliably online), but as for the fronts, i'd rather leave that to them as they'll know better how to deal with leveling and angles and suchlike. Providing they don't try charge me 500+ of course

I was differentiating between the 2 versions of the 1.2TSI and only saying that in this forum and its subsections there was clash of identities as Fabia MK2 had one version and Fabia MK3 had the other, so anyone discussing TSI engines in this section would normally say if it was a 1.2 or a 1.0, that is all.

Ah fair do's, i'm unsure when the 1.0 MPI 75ps actually came in, it's the first i've heard of it (finding it on the configurator) at least.

Once again I did not clearly write what I meant to write!  There is a "no" missing, it should have been written as " I was differentiating between the 2 versions of the 1.2TSI and saying that in this forum and its Fabia subsections there was no clash of identities as Fabia MK2 had one version and Fabia had the other version ------" .

Edit:- so essentially we both consider that there is no need for another subsection.
