Help no dip beam

Featured Replies

Hi help please I have no dipped beam. Went of a few weeks ago came back on again called break down out they replaced a fuse. Now M.O.T failed her for no dip beam. Now the garage have said I need a body control module which I have been informed the car is to old for that it could be a relay. I'm losing hope. Many thanks

No relays involved, the supply from the main light switch goes to the column switch then to fuses 20 & 21 then onto the headlight connectors

Thank you that help s alot also took her to another garage and we found a faulty indicator stalk

I was going to suggest a good dose of contact cleaner into the stalk, but assumed that had been ruled out..

Hi that was the plan of action today and have ordered a stalk as a back up plan. How can a simple thing become a headache. Thank you

@Tiggy73 - Well, you seem to have things in hand now, but my first thought was the dip switch (part of the indicator stalk and not available separately). I'd strongly recommend not going to the garage that said "new body module" ever again!

Hi trust me duchess will not be going to that garage again. I was not happy with them. I did wonder if I didn't have you guys to help me then perhaps they might of sold her on. As its low mileage and v good condition. Thank you

Hi trust me duchess will

You do that too; my Octy is called "Samantha" (partly because her registration starts SG).
