Columbus Issue

Featured Replies

Just brought Superb Mk 11 Elegance 09 plate beautiful car but Columbus Nav system failed on day 1!

Re-booting after welcome screen, now removed and sent to BBA Reman for repair by garage.

Hopefully it will return in full working order, does anyone know where I can get latest firmware & maps?

BBA charge more for a repair than a new unit off Ebay . I'd wait and see what condition and software level it has when they return it to you myself.

Hi Rustynuts

Got Columbus unit back working fine now, have been told latest maps & firmware installed but unable to get into hidden menu ( Hold setup for 15 seconds or so).

I can get FM & AM setup menu but no version menu!

Any ideas as I would like to know what version it is running!

I *think* you need to have unlocked the car and switched on the Columbus without the key in the ignition. If the key is in the ignition then many units will show the Radio setup, which it appears is what happened to you?

The latest software has Version Information as standard under AM - FM on the long hold of the "Setup" button. If you don't have "Version Information" then I don't think you'll have a software update over 4***

If you find someone local with VCDS then they'll be able to read the software and maps version from the scan log.
