How to read the dimming value in VCP PQ35 BCM Programmer?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

when using the PQ35 BCM programmer, one can set a value for "dimming":

Does somebody know, how to read this value exactly? Is this the value for a pulse width modulation for the bulbs?

I'd suggest you use VCP to backup the lighting config, then use VAGhelper to modify it and finally use VCP to write the new file.

Make sure you keep your original lighting config somewhere safe!

Thank you.

I checked my change with VAGHelper and I think it is OK.

What I changed was the rear lights are on when daylights are on.

Then again, VAGHelper offers me the choice of changing the brightness.

Does that mean, if I change the brightness for the rear lights from its stock value to something higher, the lights should be brighter after flashing?

Additionally there is Byte + 1 and Byte +2.

Byte +1 is brightness and the described other options.

Could you tell me, what Byte +2 is?

The language of this forum is international English, if you wish to post in your language then you must also post an English translation.

What lights in VCP are "STAND"? Is that standard headlights?

Probably the parking/side lights.
