Is there a means of showing the coolant temp on the existing binnacle on an SE?? 

Sometimes a press of the settings buttons can show other details on other makes.......

What year is your car? - does it have factory fit parking sensors and cruise - if not, then no it won't have drive the computer. If you do then it'll be the rocker on the end of the right hand stalk. 

Car is a 2018 build,not long registered.Don't need parking sensors or cruise,so didn't order them.Looks like the answer to my question is no......

Not sure how it would work on the facelifted cars without a PID, but on ours it's possible to 'extend' the dash display to the PID and one of the dial options is (I think) coolant temperature.

 

It might be worth having a look at the phone app for the newer cars, as it may include a similar set up.

I can confirm the phone App does display the coolant temperature on the 2018 models, similar to the PID on earlier models.  I assume you have the Skoda phone cradle in place.

i do have a cradle,but not fitted in position as phone is not used incar. Presumable phone needs to be connected via a usb lead to the audio point??

Not necessarily, my iPhone connects to the onboard system through Bluetooth using the Skoda App.  Also available on Android I believe. I use the dashboard USB port if the phone needs charging, it also allows the phon e to connect to the system, and if used you get a message in the radio display stating 5he Bluetooth connection is then disabled.  I bought. A short curled usb lead for this purpose rather than have a long lead dangling on the dashboard.

 

The phone can be controlled through the radio controls when connected
