312MM Front Brakes

Featured Replies

Recently installed 312mm front brakes and i'm just wondering if its normal for there to be  more brake pedal travel than there was before on the 288mm brakes?

As far as I am aware there shouldn’t be. Was it all new hardware?

Fresh refurbished 312mm with brand new pads, discs and braided brake lines

Try pumping the pedal before turning the ignition on and see if it firms up. Then if that doesn’t work as above check for air in the system

I gave the pedal a pump with the ignition off and the pedal went quite stiff but not solid stiff, i could still push it down a centimeter or two

I have this problem when I upgraded from drums to discs at the rear. Still have a bit of pedal travel
