Met a friend tonight who had some on his Peugeot, they look perfectly good certainly good enough for carrying the odd bit of timber so I'll be outside Lidl 10am Sunday.

Just checked my box which shows  311606 and has Karoq listed as a fitment on the side so they are the right ones, expect some of the boxes were printed off a while back. They look and fit just like th

I got mine from Lidl, same as Ateca, very sturdy.

This Sunday Lidl are selling Menabo roof bars 1.2 m long for 29.99. Would these be the ones you purchased? For those of us that would only use them rarely perhaps for some long lengths of timber they would seem remarkable value even if they don't look so good or aren't aerodynamic and are noisy.

They are the ones, Menabo Brio, hope that helps. :)

Don, are you happy that the 1.2m bars are long enough for the Karoq? Do you ever lie awake at night wondering if the (more expensive) 1.3m bars might have been a better fit?

Bargain for the 1.2 length but seemingly expensive for the 1.3's.........

That's exactly what I thought ......... then I saw on the Halford's site that Thule 9585s were £310 - which puts everything else into a new perspective! Roof bars are a handy thing to have around, but I only need them once in a blue moon.

Are the Lidl bars aerodynamic or squarish?

Any chance of a photo?

thanks

tom

Neither square nor aerodynamic.......not bad though.

The 1.2m  bars are fine, have transported 15 lengths of decking with no problems!

Top box fits fine, and they are more oval than square, see pic above

Wind noise is minimal too

Same here!

Thanks for the tip-off, Don. I was a little concerned that, as the distance between the rails (at the front) is almost 1.2m on the Karoq, the 1.2m bars would be a skinny fit.

Can’t see them on the Lidl website. Sunday seems to be Garden Accessories.

It's under Middle of Lidl (took me ages to realise that's the stuff in the middle aisles) and coming soon even though only a few days away. Assuming of course Lidl don't have regional variations and you've set your favourite store to an area that might not have them?

The genuine skoda one is 1.231m so I suspect the 1.2m ones are fine. I am hoping my superb ones will fit the Karoq when it turns up in September.

Quite a queue outside local Lidl at 10 am this morning but it seemed they were mostly after the 40 inch HD TVs. Purchased roof bars, only just long enough at front but they fit OK and Karoq on the box as a fit. For the occasional use they'll get quite a bargain.

Aldi have got some available from next Sunday, the 12th, you can also have 'em delivered free with free returns if not suitable. Not sure exactly how wide they are, 120cm and 135cm are mentioned.........

Hoping to get a set of these this weekend. Planning on the 120 cm ones but will check out what the box says. Price looks great for the odd time I need them.

If I was going to use them more than once in a blue moon I'd have bought those. I bought a boot liner from roofbox and once we finally worked out which one fitted my model (so many variables of rear seats, floors and apart tyres) quite happy with the fit. Customer service was very good and they put in a lot of effort to make sure I got the right item.

I am pleased the service was good..... I was worried there for a moment... :)  yes boot liners are a pain!  just got one for mine and one for my wife and her's doesn't fit as she doesn't have "fixed seats"   back to the dealer with that today.

Well got the bars from Aldi. Easy to fit but the front one was a bit tight on the length. Seem fine for occasional use so very happy.

They really do look the same as the ones from Lidl and as you say a bit tight at the front but for occasional use absolutely fine.
