Park assist screen staying on, dash light anti collision on

Featured Replies

I backed out of the drive, some bleeping due to angle and proximity of a wall.

I selected first gear to pull away and the radio remained muted and the

reversing screen was still on and the collision detector light on the dash

was on. I pressed the dash c.dect. button and all was well.

Later I was having to do u-turns on Bath Uni. Campus (due to the ballot count)

every time I selected reverse I had the same problem, any ideas why?

My radio stays muted after reversing for at least 5 seconds after I have selected 1st and pulled away and I "get safe to move" notification on the radio.

Is the anti collision light lit ? (on the dash to the right of the steering wheel)

I agree the reversing screen stays lit and in my recollection it goes out shortly

after coming out of reverse gear,  this is not happening

Are the sensors clean? Was it freezing conditions (ice on sensors) at the time. Maybe the 'system' is not recognizing that you have moved out of reverse gear which could be a faulty gearbox sensor? If bumper sensors are clean and no ice/dirt on them then they could be developing a fault. Could water have gotten into the system (heavy rain or floods)?
