Message me your VIN and which corner of the car needs sensor, and I'll tell you the correct part number. Tell me the complete  exact part number of what has been fitted too.

Hi pete I can only send one message a day here

I'll send you a message with an email address.

In case anyone is reading this with the same symptoms.

I purchased an OEM sensor https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/ate-7618461.html for £38 inc delivery, arrived from Lithuania 2 days later.

Part number for car with self parking is WHT 003 864 A, there are loads of manufacturers on this site but I went for the ATe one as this was the same as the ones originally fitted.

I have been driving around for 2 weeks without a hint of  a problem or error message, so touch wood this seems to have cured all my issues. :-)

Mine lit up like a xmas tree this morning obd points to sensor booked in to my local who does good reasonably priced repairs for me as not got time to sort myself.

So thought i ought to follow this up, just in case it's of use to someone else.

My first plan was to ignore it, which i did, and it worked, albeit briefly. So when I next got in the car the  next day, all the lights were still there, but went off after a few yards and then I cleared all the codes on carista.

Next long journey, after about 5 hours, all the lights came back. Then went off, came back, went off and then came back again and stayed on for the rest of the journey. But again, when left overnight they would clear after a few yards the next day.

This cycle continued for a while (looks like 6mths from the date of my last post!), and it became apparent that the hotter the ambient temp was, the sooner the fault would occur.

Checked the live data on Carista for wheel speeds, which all looked ok and suggested my idea of a faulty abs sensor was off, so, after i got a new light (Error: Brake. Workshop!), I bit the bullet and got skoda to run a diagnostic. Nothing enlightening from the diagnostic, but the tech reckoned it was lightly to be a faulty main power relay. There are two main power relays, and apparently the other one doesn't control anything overly important, so power relays have been swapped round and we'll see what happens. If that solves it, a new relay is only £23, so fingers crossed....

These were the warnings I was getting as at the last activation. Can share the Carista codes too if any interest

@village Did this work?

I feel I have this exact problem and don't know if I should try replace the sensor or the relay. My fault codes read out about 20 things about data bus error , wheel speed snsor rear left implausible signal, left front abs wheel speed sensor magenetic field too low ABS control implausible signal, plus loads others only get this issue on long drives and usually when I've used cruise control as some point.

Yes it was nsr abs sensor, in fact just 2 weeks ago lit up again and this time osr sensor. £120 fix non skoda dealer.

What did your errors show ? or how did you know which side was the problem? My diagnostic has loads of things on it, only calls out left fron abs wheel speed sensor magentic field too low and rear left implausible signal.

My dashboard looks the same as Villages screen shot I quoted. Well it does when I have the issue. Didn't have it for a 6 months then popped up once and disappeared again since.

Yes it worked for me. So well in fact that i forgot about it and didn't event bother replacing the faulty relay after swapping them round. I kept the car for another 2.5 years after that post (c. 70k miles) and it never came back. Definitely worth a crack given it's a potential free fix

@village I couldn't figure out how to DM you about a year ago when this happened last aha. I can't find any information on this relay or which ones to swap. Even google is a bit blank on relays on the MK3 or mentions fuses. Do you know which ones I need to swap please? Legend

I can’t for the life of me remember, but I think someone did DM me about it and I might have been a bit more help back then. Will have a look

It was you that i was DM'ing about this about 2 years ago! I've inserted the salient points for prosperity:

This was one fix i didn't actually get personally involved in, so i'm not entirely sure what was involved in switching the relays, but i seem to recall that i only got charged for running the diagnostic so the relay switching must have been pretty straight forward.

If i was going to guess, i'd say it's [relay] 645 (at 2min 30), but that is only a guess. To the best of my recollection, it wasn't a back up relay, it was just used for less important stuff.

If you swap the 645's round, what's the worst that could happen! I'm joking (sort of), whilst i may be tempted to have a go at swapping like numbered relays around, i genuinely dont know enough about this stuff to advise anyone else
