Disabling/removing Bluetooth and GPS

Featured Replies

Hi

A family member has recently bought a 14 plate Fabia from a dealership. They were told prior to sale it had no bluetooth or GPS in it but unfortunately it does. They wanted a simple tech-free motor for health reasons. Can the Bluetooth and GPS units be disabled or removed? Is the bluetooth mounted in the built in stereo?

Any advice while the dealership haggling goes on would be gratefully received.

Depends on spec of vehicle.

The bluetooth module is often under passenger seat, could just uplug it.

Same would go for the GPS, but.....the gps will do nothing unless you start to use the satnav (assuming it has it)

Most certainly can be removed/disabled.

Just depends on what unit you have? I'm sure the RNS models form 2014 have the Bluetooth built into the actual stereo whilst the gps antenna will be located elsewhere but still fully removable.
