Dog crate

Featured Replies

Hello,

I joined the vrs club recently (photos once i've polished it...), wondering if you guys can help my research please.

The household is soon to welcome a cocker spaniel, for which we want a crate in the boot (estate).  I'm hoping to find one that will allow the sliding luggage cover to be closed when not in use by the dog, but also with a door that clears the boot lip when it opens (don't have the adjustable floor).

Currently have a wire crate, but that's likely to be outgrown - suggestions most welcome.

Evening,

I've got a VRS estate without the v.floor, we use a wire crate for our dog (Springer), we purchased it a few years back from Pets at Home. Only cost £40 and folds down when we're not using it. It doesn't clear the boot lip, but we just lift it up over it when loading/unloading the pooch with minimal effort required.

Have an MMG cage in my VRS and it clears the boot lip, also have a Bootbuddy liner which the cage sits in. The cage was made for the VRS and is well put together and rigid, (you only get what you pay for), also thick rubber bumper protector which slides under the Bootbuddy and is Velcroed to the material boot floor.
