Sportline 206kw Vibration

Featured Replies

Hey guys, just a quick question to ask those who has the 206kw sportline. Do you guys think there's a lot of vibrations got transferred through somehow that you can feel in the car? I feel like mine has fair bit of vibration transferred through. Especially when stopped at idle at the lights. Or is it just me getting used to my audi a6??? (I have to say A6 was a very smooth car, don't even feel like the engine is running when stop at the lights)

So what do you guys think? I went into the dealer and they increased the idle rev a little bit to about 750. There was less vibration but there is still some there. Eg, you can feel it through the door and centre arm rest etc.

I've not experienced this at all, not whilst in motion or idle.  Apart from a bit of wind noise and drone on poor road surfaces the car is quite refined IME (subjective of course) but I've definitely not detected any vibrations through contact points.

Think I will take it back to the dealer again. The head mechanic said might be something too tight.

Nil vibration on mine - in fact I've been struck how smooth and quiet it is, especially at idle. With the pedal box, I idle at just a touch over 800rpm. I'm with the others here: go back to the dealer as it definitely shouldn't be doing that.

This might sound weird but coming from a GTI Clubsport with even the same engine and more focused chassis, yet the first day when I did the switch-over from one car to the other, I immediately felt there is a bit more NVH making its way to the cabin. Not as bad as when you for example upgrade dogbone or engine mounts or in any way giving me a feeling something was not right, but definitely more noticeable. It went away (or more likely I got used to it) within the first week.

So I guess, If I noticed this coming from a GTI, it would sound very probable that you would notice it too coming from an A6. However, it's hard to understand if we are talking about the same level of vibrations, did you get the car recently? Or is it something that has developed lately? In the latter case it might indeed be something that needs to be looked at.

We got a GTI as well and you can definitely tell. Maybe it was just me. But the dealer said they will need to have another 206 there to compare. Then they will know if it's normal or not. I had the car for 6 months now. But can't remember if it was from the beginning or not as you know, when you get your new car, you are always excited. haha!! Got 5 year warranty so if not right, I will just keep taking it back into the dealer. Might try to contact Skoda see if they know anything.

More noticeable than in a GTI or A6 yes but is it really to the point of thinking something's wrong? Because mine never felt like I had to have it looked at. Just noticed it the first day I got in the new car and that was it, after 3-4 days everything felt normal. You can usually tell when something not right. What your dealer said makes sense, it's hard to quantify and compare such things without another reference. Contacting Skoda at this point, with the info you've got so far wouldn't help much imo.

It gets pretty annoying. Maybe just me. The good news is, the dealer has another one coming in in Aug. So will wait till then.
