Fabia Monte Carlo mats?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, my monte carlo came with just standard black mats. No mention of Skoda, Fabia or even monte carlo. Should new MCs come with plain mats? Thanks in advance.

As far as i'm aware, the only spec that get's special floor mats is the redline. Which has a red trim round the edge.

I recently drove a MC which had the standard mats, same as what's in my SEL.

You can buy the other versions on superskoda. (Your dealer probably will too)

Shout out for the rubber boot mat if you're ordering some other mats,  it's awesome. Great fit and it saved mine from a split can in the weekly shop the other week which would of sucked to clean up from the carpet. Got it off ebay second hand for £15 though

If you're not bothered about official Skoda branding there are some third-party outfits that can supply fitted mats with choices of colours, piping styles, etc. I got the ones below (excuse the dirt) in blue to match the rest of the car from carmats4u.

The rubber mats including tunnel mat. :)  I’ve a dog seat cover too which helps reduce the amount of sand in there, believe it or not.

My rubber Fabia mats from Superskoda, including the tunnel cover.

Very tempted to get a rubber boot mat. These have been great so far.

Bought a rubber boot liner off Ebay for my 2011 Fabia VRS for £17.99 including postage a few weeks back and have found it excellent, perfect tailored fit with about a 1” upturned lip at the edge so nothing slips bye it onto the boot carpet.

My 2016 MC came with mats to match the funky interior.

As for the rubber boot liner, don't bother. They're really heavy and must affect the long term fuel consumption. Instead, if you go on eBay, you will find lightweight moulded liners that fit perfectly and are half the cost of Skoda mats.

They're really not that heavy, certainly not to make enough of a dent in your fuel consumption to care about imo unless you're seriously counting pennies. Just clearing some of the crap out of most people's boots would save more in my experience. I'm happy with the OEM look and durability over third party stuff and it was cheaper than the ones posted above for me (ones linked are the wrong ones for the fabia iii). Has been enough to stop most things sliding around in the boot too, including my boot tidy which isn't even secured down 😎 Each to there own I guess.

The boot liner I bought is not very heavy perhaps 1.5-2kg so very unlikely to have any effect on fuel consumption, it does have an extra benefit of dampening rear end road noise slightly.

Just out of interest, is the Fabia suposed to come with mats as standard? Mine didn't when I got it (brand new) from Marshall Skoda (Croydon). I got some cheap ones from ebay as a temporary solution until i source some decent carpet ones (I don't like the rubber ones:))

No.

I ordered a set from TPS before delivery, and then when the car turned up it had a free set.

Gave one set away in the end.

Thanks AG Falco

Ah ok, I know nowadays alot of manufactures don't include mats as standards. Thanks for your help.
