Hi all, 

 

I am currently looking into retrofitting cruise control to my rapid. 

 

What i would like to know, apart from coding it in with vcds and the stalks, is about the parts i need. 

 

Will i also need to purchase a different clock spring or not ? Because ive seen a few units i can purchase in the meantime and some come with them and others dont, i guess its just how they have been dismantled. 

 

Edit, will the harness be there also to connect the stalk?

you need to check what set up you have, there are different ones

I bought just stalk from Aliexpress and wire set for Polo 6R. In my Toledo I had to add wire between steering wheel and central electrical module... and 1 to ECU in engine compartment.

 

 

This seller is from Germany... He added instruction in a pack and offer installation. So you can ask him question what do you need...

In terms of  setup, how do you mean there are different ones? Thankyou for your response also. 

 2012 - 2015 is based on the polo 6r

2015 - 2017 is more like the fabia 3

It will be for polo 6r as my car is 2013

 

you also need to check that your bcm will support cruise

Central electrical module should work... My Toledo was S model (very basic) and Cruise Control worked fine.

My Rapid is an SE, if this is any help?
