Red and clear reflective tape idea!

Featured Replies

Was following an old Saab last night, and it had this quite fetching reflective tape across the back between the back lights. It looked quite nice really, and feeling safety conscious wondered if the same thing could be done to my Furby? I think it would look pretty smart too. :thumbup:

I think I have seen a similar thing on older Peugeots too.

So, what are your feelings? Will it look good, and where can I get the tape from? Perhaps someone could do me a quick photoshop! :thumbup:

Similar to this, but with 5 stripes to mirror the lights across the whole back of the car.

Tom, sorry to be blunt, but to put it in a "Chris_Newell 41" style....they look crap. My Dad paid for a piece of trim that matched the body work with a Saab badge in the middle to replace that reflective trim your talking about on his Saab 900.... When he got it the dealer remarked that it was the biggest after market piece of kit that they sold at the dealership.

I think they'd look ace.

Something like this 2 minute "Paint" I did - but I'd want more of a smoked red.

:eek: - you forgot the yellow "Motorway Maintainace" sticker in the back window !!

I dont like the look of them on the saab and they have a propperly made part to do the job. If you're going to bodge it you'll end up with something that looks a mess.

Makes you bum look too big.

That look was bad enough first time round.

It would have been very ch@v, except ch@vs hadn't been invented back then.

I know retro might be cool, but don't do it!

Is this an April Fool??? If so sorry to spoil your fun but you have to play the prank before mid day (so 15.53 don't count), as the old saying goes, regarding any attempt past mid day;

"April Fool's Day is past and gone, your a fool and I am none"
