Bosch wiper blades

Featured Replies

Hi.  I bought some BOSCH A556 S Aerotwin replacement wiper blades for my Fabia MKIII from Wiper-Blades.co.uk - they don't fit!  This is despite using the website's Car Reg system to source the correct parts.  In fact, even BOSCH haven't listed Fabia on the list of models on the wiper blades box.

I called Wiper-Blades who posted me some replacements (BOSCH AP 24U) - guess what? They don't fit either  - grrrh.  Again, BOSCH  haven't listed Fabia as a Skoda model on the box either.

I emailed BOSCH UK asking for the parts number for a Skoda Fabia MKIII and they were less than helpful, simply referring me back to the vehicle manufacturer !

I'm reluctant to order the parts directly from Skoda UK due to the high comparative cost - but may be forced to if I can't source some decent quality replacements.

Never have this problem with the Yeti!

Any advice gratefully received - thanks

Use autodoc. Measure your blades, all three and order them. Mine fit perfectly.

Last year bought 2 front wiper blades for my 2015 Fabia from my local parts shop got them to fit but when in use they left a smear across the screen at eye level so bit the bullet and got a front pare from skoda which worked perfectly the only difference I could see on the shop bought ones the fixing block was mounted on top of the metal wiper trim where the Skoda blades the fixing block was part of the metal trim I can only assume the Skoda blades lay flatter to the screen. Cheers 'guys' that's helpful.

Personally, i bit the bullet and went Skoda ones. The original blades lasted to almost 40K miles in about 3.5 years, (3 winters), a pair of bosch ones from Halfords, while costing about half, barely lasted the following winter before simply making a mess of any wetness or dampness on the screen. Put back some new Skoda ones, and no more streaks, and still perfect now after last winter.

The 3 year old Skoda blades actually ended up splitting before making any streaks. If my new pair last that long, ill be more than happy.

The rear blade has now survived 5 winters. Still going strong!

They ( Bosch AP 24U ) fitted my 2016 Fabia using the correct part/clip.

Still got the box in the garage.

Thanks AG Falco

They do :) Now sorted - thanks

Just out of interest, why didn't the A556S fit. I have fitted them to a Citigo and a 2016 Fabia without any problems and have another 2 sets awaiting use in the garage.

The main 'body' of the replacement blade was just a little too deep.  While these things are sometimes expected to be a little tight, these were just not going in the blade holder without me modifying them somehow (i.e shaving some of the plastic off, which I obviously wasn't going to do).

Interestingly, when I went on Amazon and put my car reg. in and A556 S into the search bar, a pop-up menu warned that 'these will not fit your vehicle.' Glad you didn't have any issues with them.

I fitted Bosch A556S blades to my 2016 Mk3 UK RHD Fabia. They are 24 and 16inch or if you prefer

600 and 400mm.

They are tight to get in but do fit.
