Just doing a quick home service, air and oil filter done, oil changed and refilled then a plug change to do. Now Im new to these engines having worked mainly on older British cars all my life. There seems to be some sort of serated metal cover on the HT leads. Im not one to dive in and yank it so I thought Id better ask, is there a correct way or some sort of tool I need to use.........

1.2tsi camchain engine? CBZA/CBZC 90/105ps?

Then use this tool to pull the metal plug connectors off.

VS5293 VAG plug boot removal tool

Don't pull by the leads, you will break them.
