Why 2 diff. lengths of overflow tubes for dsg DQ250 ?

Hi all,

I stumbled across this information.

For the DQ250, there are 2 different sizes of overflow tubes. One is 9mm longer than the other, and if used, the oil volume filling of the gearbox, will accordingly be higher ?

Does anyone know why there is 2 ? Are we supposed to use the C version from now on ?

You use whatever one is fitted to that gearbox originally hence the physical inspection note.

Hi, Noticed this week one of my screen jets was very weak on my 2016 Superb Saloon, so took it off and blasted it with air to clean. Then noticed both my screen wash jets are very poor. The water tank is full. Could it be pump blocked, feeder pipe blocked? Is it easy to access the water reservoir and pump and how do I access it? Thank in advance Tony

Hello!! I've been having some starting issues with my Fabia Mk1 HTP recently. Sometimes it doesn't react to the key being in the start position. No cranking, no noise (other than the fuel pump buzzing in the back). After some fiddling with key, or a fast turn it starts and runs fine. Now, after replacing the battery the issue seemed to go away and it had been starting perfectly. Two days later it looks like the problem is coming back, but now the fast turn of the key doesn't make a difference.

Ball joint to control arm joint torque spec - wildly different for pressed vs cast steel arms?

The spec for the three nuts that secure the ball joint to lower control arm is 60Nm if the arm is cast steel, but 100Nm is the arm is steel sheet. Can anyone explain this? 100Nm seems like a crazy torque for a M10 thread. I have the pressed sheet steel control arms.

Hi, I'm coming from an older Octavia and looking potentially at a Karoq or Kodiaq. The Octavia was great in that you could change various settings as best suited (including any driver aids) and the car permanently remembered. I'm aware that the new EU regs (that we have copied) have mandated a different approach (settings revert to scratch for each journey).
