Appreciate your efforts Nick.

Surely most people wash their cars with tap water? At least I did in my ignorance. Don't know why they don't make them with a material that can withstand it.

No probs Tom. Yeah everyone uses tap water I was taking the mick lol ! Like I said earlier it's either the dealer using cleaner that knackers the finish in the PDI or just plain old poor quality / design by Skoda. I've learned to live with mine because I didn't fancy the protracted battle that would ensue if I decided to fight my corner....

It would just be a back and forth fest with Skoda lying saying it's caused by you using poor quality or caustic cleaners and me telling them I have not.

I just cant be arsed and I really don't notice it much now anyway 🙂

Ah I see, that one went over my head!

Yeah not even sure if I can be bothered mentioning it to them as they'll just be like you say.

Don't blame you, it's just with the car being "new" to me it was frustrating, but unless people go looking for it I doubt anyone would even notice.

To clarify it's a second hand car, just new to me if you get my drift. So imagine they'll say that's part and parcel of being used, which is fair enough I guess. Have to speak to them soon anyway so I may mention it depending on which way the wind is blowing that day 😄

Will report back if anything interesting comes from it.
