lowered fabia vrs

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of any photos of a fabia vrs lowered on Eibach springs (-25 to -35) with the standard wheels on? I need to see how either will look before i order the springs. another thing i need to know is, what is a pd160 intake i see getting mentioned alot on these forums?  I'm new to this 'Vrs modding'

Here's mine with Eibach springs & dampers fitted.

The PD160 intake is from a SEAT Ibiza Cupra TDI. It directs air into the airbox & is bigger than the standard vRS intake.

Would the -25 or the -35 srings bring it down that low? Is the best place to get the intake from a Seat garage then? Really like the look of your car!!!

Dont just get the pipe. Replace the filter too. Most people get Green Cotton or K & N

The Eibach vRS springs drop it down by 25mm. Remember, the vRS is already 15mm lower than other Fabia models.

SEAT dealer is best place to get the intake. Costs around £30 for both bits needed. There are some part numbers somewhere on this site.

What price is the intake and filter? Also when getting a remap does the car become alot smokier under acceleration?

These are the part numbers you need:-

6LL 129 621 Trumpet

6LL 129 618 Pipe

Total cost should be around £30

Green Panel filter is around £35

cheers guys, you've been loads of help, i'll be ordering my springs and straight into my nearest Seat dealer 2moro!!!!

While at seat, get seat front strut brace, that is also one of the must have mods on this forum(part number 6L0 071 710 around 50 quid). I've also ordered seat sound mod(part number 038103954G around 30 quid it's supposed to reduce noise from engine) still awaiting delivery.

-25mm eibachs only.

Yep agreed - might as well get the whole set :D

I have the strut (to be painted in green, it's currently in the loft and I must really do it soon as it does have a positive impact when fitted), the PD160 intake + a green filter (not from SEAT dealer on the filter, bought via a GB here but you'll find them on ebay and pretty much every tuner advertising on this site :D )

The soundproofing mentioned goes under the plastic engine cover, takes a few mins to fit (shape of it looks stupid, feels flimsy due to the way the foam bits are held together, but it works). It's a little expensive but it really mutes down the hardest 'takataka' (Mill tm) noises. Don't expect silence, but it is quite noticeable :)

I've got the Eibachs on mine, and the difference with standard from a height-perspective is quite subtle. If you put a car with & without them side by side you will spot it's lower. Compared to a non-vRS Fabia it's a fair bit lower though.

Anything lower and something like the aluminium sump protector would be a good investment, the sump is VERY low on the Fabia so a speed bump taken too fast/at wrong angle could cause you a lot of financial pain.

With Eibachs you are lower too so a sump protector is still a good idea, but if you are a bit sensible over speed bumps you shouldn't have too much trouble :D

Yep. Same airbox.

Just interested, what is the measurement from wheelhub to wheel arch after you`ve had it lowered?

Make sure if you are ordering Eibach's that you get the vRS ones and not just the Tdi.

Eibach only sell -25mm for the vRS
