Uninvited passengers

I have tried cleaning my tail lights and remove dead insects from them as well - very limited success, I think I managed to move some of them inside the light (nothing came out, but at least they have been moved within the lamp enclosure and not visible) by use of compressed air and vigorous shaking :D As said, partial success only, some smaller ones are still there. When I had the lights off, took a bit of foam packing (some electronic equipment I bought was supplied in it), cut matching pads for the vents, and glued them around the perimeter of the vents, did not notice any new dead insects since then.

Thanks guys will give it a shot and report back, I’ve seen the plastic trim that can be removed to get to the nuts. However I don’t seem to have anything long enough to get to remove the nut they seem quite deep on the thread.

Will attempt to get something that has better reach.

The LED clusters are supposeldy sealed preventing access.

They may be sealed to prevent 'access' but I seriously doubt they'd actually be truely sealed due to the stresses caused by atmospheric pressure changes over time.

I had an empty spider skin in one of the tail lights of my Superb. It was there when I bought the car in April 2017 and was still there when I part-ex’d it in Feb this year. The car was only 5 months old when I got it so maybe the spider got in the light while the light was being made, shed its skin and made good its escape before the light was finally sealed 🤣🤣
