Cold air still bowing luke warm

Featured Replies

Just got car back from garage after replacing Turbo that failed at 60000, driving back today and a bit warm outside and inside (unusual for scotland) but when i put car to blow cold air it is still warm, there is no difference when i put the air con on, any suggestions

Have they regassed the aircon if they have had to remove an aircon pipe whilst replacing the turbo?

Unfortunately, this is a holiday week, and garage closed for two weeks, unable to ask them, but this could be it any way of checking or will it cause any damage whilst running

If there is no gas in the system running it may cause damage so I'd suggest turning ac off.  Have you run it for a length of time with the engine under load and highish revs?  Mine sometimes takes a good push to get the cold air coming through.

I have just had the DPF cleaned and I think they do run it high for a while?? it was extremely warm outside and in cab, just problems i have had in last 4 weeks dont want something else

If they ran it high for a dpf clean they may have turned the ac off so it would take longer to get back to operating conditions than if it was run more regularly.

Has it had a regas at any time?  Not every system has the exact same amount of gas in so if its at the low end of gas weight from the factory then it will need a regas sooner.  This is definitely the case with mine.  Just havnt had the chance to get it regassed.

Go into consumers profile.  Turn the a/c on & off.  If it's working it will tell how much fuel is being used.
