Insurance increase for a car crash that wasnt your fault

Featured Replies

Well as you all probably know by now I am looking for a Toyota MR2.

I was quite happy with my insurance quote for it considering my age and that most people are quoting £2.5k +

I was reviewing the quote I submitted on www.confused.com and noticed I had left out a vital bit of information.

In the last 5 years I have had two accidents where I was not at fault and the other insurance company has paid out.

There is an option for this on consfused.com to say that you had an accident but you were not at fault, so I input the details and re-submit the quote.

Comes back £150 dearer

This really p*sses me off, two morons (and beleive me they were morons) hit into me and later on it costs me £150 :thumbdwn:

Ok its not a huge amount, I know that, but its the princible.

you're looking for an MR2 ? ;)

Insurers are money grabbing gits who will find any excuse to charge more or refuse to pay out.

No how you feel. 18 months ago was involved in a crash caused by a uninsured driver (who drive off never to be seen again) Yep guess who insurance went up

I made a fault claim last august after someone hit my car and did a runnner (no witnesses either) when my renewal came it was

When I got married my insurance went down:confused: odd rules

Maybe you aren't considered 'car candy danger' any longer.

Bit drastic I suppose to get a few quid off (those weren't my reasons.I genuinely love my wife)

Insurance makes me laugh.

To cancel my policy it will cost a

They do so say it's a "no claim" as opposed to "no blame" bonus

Insurance companys are the biggest money scammers about!

Will your current insurance company not cover the MR2 until your re-newal date?

Unless I wake up 25 years old tomorrow, or am prepared to pay

I think insurance companies are great and get a bit of a raw deal. I just love forking out extra money every year for no apparent reason....

Thought you don't have to declare accidents after 3 years!!!

Just don't tell them ;)

Have you asked your current insurers for a price on a 'Mid Term Adjustment'?

Where by you keep your current policy, and just change cars?

Some times it's cheaper than you think. I used to have a 1.5 litre proton which a traded up for a Saab turbo that was the a few years newer than the proton, and it worked out £250 a year cheaper!

Even the insurer said "what car did you drive!"

I got my quote for my furbie vrs through at the weekend

Lifes a bitch and we've all been there.

Check out your current insurers uninsured loss recovery. The additional premium may be covered by this, so in theory you could recover the money from the person who caused your previous accident. Worth a phone call to see if it is possible.

Chris

insureres are thieving money grabbing heartless *******s.
