Just ONE unfixable electrical fault remaining

Featured Replies

After numerous visits to my local Murray Skoda dealer, all of my electrical faults but one have been fixed.

It took them 4 visits to determine that:

a) The faults actually existed and

b) They could be fixed by a re-installation of software.

However on the 5th visit they tell me that my headlight assist problem cannot be fixed as it does not show up on any diagnostics.

The headlights turn on, dip and full beam as they should, then without warning or any change to settings just fail to auto respond, dipping or full beam, to external light conditions and we are talking here about Cornwall roads, black as sin, so no ambient light sources to confuse the sensors.

Anybody here have any ideas to contribute.

My 2014 Octavia Mk III 2.0 TDI Elegance Estate goes in tomorrow for visit number 6 and I really want them to stop the GBA and get it sorted.

Rear view mirror light sensor.
