I would say the audio codec is not supported by the Columbus.

You could try converting the audio to mp3, AAC etc to see what works.

I have several "SkidVid" mp4 music videos on my memory card & they work fine.

Will check what format the audio is tonight.

I use (matroshka) mkv video at 720p converted by "handbrake" - quality set to 20. very sharp on Columbus screen. 1 hour video takes about two minutes to convert with "handbrake".

"handbrake" will also convert your audio to AAC mp3 etc. at the same time if you want it.

Looking at the file names they suggest to be 1080p i.e. 1920x1080 resolution. Columbus is 800x480 and I don't think it can play 1080p files. Encode to lower resolution and try again.
