Bungled 60K Service!

Please remember, this issue came about after the car had a new Cam Belt fitted. The smoothness of the engine was perfect before the service/belt change.

The 2 slots that the bolts pass through are slotted thus the two parts that make up the mounting can be aligned in a different position to how the factory assembled them.

I have no idea what the procedure is to align the top 1/2 of the mounting (the slotted bolt hole part), but maybe it is simply to pry the parts such that they cannot touch under any circumstance.

If so, then it will be down to the precision of the tech doing the work. The location of the mounting is not easy, the whole job is done in tight conditions.

I hope this thread and it's content will resolve other's problems!
