VRS Diesel remap

Featured Replies

Hi - Can anyone recommend a remap for my VRS Diesel. Had the car a few months and while generally happy with performance I wouldnt a bit extra somtimes. And does it need to go into a garage or is it DIY? Thx

if you have to ask that question I wouldn't consider a DIY remap.

look for a garage with a rolling road / dyno live data logging would be a plus I would always go for a custom map over generic.

also would be helpful for you to advise what engine, age or car  etc. you have

M-tec auto seem to get a good rep in your area

Good point about if I have to ask!

its a 2011CR model. I’ll look into m-tec. Thanks.

So it will be the cega engine.

Expect top 205-210bhp,  figures around 195-200 seem normal and to work well, depending on your current and ongoing mileage parts will/may be subject to faster wear and tear so things like turbo and dmf might need replacing sooner after the remap.

Got REVO map on our 2010 VRS. Had a load of trouble to begin with.

EGR cleaned, DPF cleaned, turbo refurbished, new clutch and flywheel.

It's been fine over the last few years. 205 bhp and pulls like a train.

If we were doing it again think we would maybe look into a custom remap.

Wear and tear aside I don't know why folks keep banging on about custom remaps with rolling road etc.

All the engines are identical from the factory.

It just seems like folks think that their particular engine is unique and the extra cost paid to have a 'custom' remap is warranted by some sort of warranty... good luck with that if it goes bad.
