Fuel filter

Featured Replies

Hi just changed the fuel filter on my 2011 skoda roomster but doesnt seem to be runing as smooth in low speeds could there be an airlock and how do i fix it.

Maybe, even probably IF you have a diesel. As usual with an airlock, you bleed the air out of the system.

Its a 1.2 tsi petrol

The fuel filter is listed as additional work on the servicing schedule but not insisted upon by the dealer. It is an interesting topic as I have never replaced one. My mate has a 2001 reg 1.8T Passat and had his fuel filter replaced earlier this year. Being rather curious he took the old one apart and found no discernible build up of deposits, certainly in no quantity to affect performance.
