Weird fault

Featured Replies

Not overly concerned but just wondered if it had happened anyone before...

Driving along yesterday when the tire pressure sensor went off, said to check pressures in all tires. At the same time the clock in the car reset to midnight (it was 1pm)

Car drove as normal with no issues at all, had to manually uncheck the tick on the GPS time in settings to reset to the correct time.

Car is a 2018 VRS TDi DSG

Almost like the battery had been momentarily disconnected but as mentioned, no affect to the driving of the car 🤔

I had this about a week into buying the car. Turned out to be a nail in one of my tyres, have a check over to be sure.

Best check the Battery Terminals.

Then check tyre pressures are as you like and reset the TPMS.  Then watch for it ever happening again.

A nail in the tyre reset the clock?

Wow, these newfangled cars can have some really strange side effects from a fault!

Coincidentally enough - 2 weeks ago I had a nail removed from the tire! Doesn’t explain the clock reset though....hmmm
