Light / Cream / Magnolia interior

Featured Replies

Hi All

Anyone got one with a light interior ?

I must admit I am not a fan of leather or black interiors

However I have never owned an interior lighter than grey or a leather one !

How well does the alcantara seat resist the dreaded blue jean hue etc ?

I guess leather might be easier to clean but it is so flipping hot in summer

Thanks in advance

PS Hope they do a nice tan colour in future now that the luxury trend is a variation on red rather than brown as their black alternative.

Got 2 Skodas with light (beige) interior, first time I've changed from black and wouldn't go back now. Makes the car feel less closed in.

Both leather though so can't comment on the alcantara. The leather isn't a problem in summer with aircon and ventilated seats, though the missus has to make do with just aircon 😄

Thanks Tom I was not aware Skoda did ventilated/cooled seats ?

Which cars do you have ?

I've had three Superbs with cream interior.  Last one with ventilated front seats as well.  Not as difficult to keep clean as you might think.  It cleans very well and actually shows up marks much less than black IMO.  I was never a fan of the dark interiors anyway.  Much brighter inside as well.

Yep not sure what extra cost will now be on the facelift though.

Superb and Karoq.

+1. I've got black leather interior. Very easy to clean. It gathers almost no dust compared to clothe seats (if you just slam a cloth seat, you'l get a 'cloud' of dust, which never happens with leather seats 👍).

Even this summer with 40°C (in the shade), I never felt burnt (even when wearing a short) when I sat in the car and made no huge jump shouting a big OUCH !... 😂

I've looked in both brochures online and can't see anything about ventilated or cooled seats ?

They are only available with leather I believe. I assure you they do exist 🙂

Yes I would only expect them with leather

Do you have a button to press for cooling and one for heating ?

Can you post a pic ?

Are you in the UK ? maybe they are not available in the UK

I'm in the UK. Same button, can even have both on at the same time. Rear seats can also be ventilated.

Top man !

How strange they don't mention it in the brochure. Cooled seats are rare in mid market cars and I would have thought a good selling point

Is this your Superb ?

I have a cream interior with panoramic roof, interior is very light and feels a lot bigger than a dark interior. Agree that it is a surprisingly easy colour to keep clean as it does not show dust. Each month I go over the front seats with Simonize leather cleaning  wipes as these will remove any colour blue etc that may come off of clothing. Nearly 3 years in and no signs of cracking or discolouration.

I had ventilated seats on my earlier 63 plate L&K but was not convinced by them. The leather has to be perforated so the air can get out and I wondered if just having perforated leather would cause the same effect as air would naturally move through the seat base due to the movement of the person sitting on it. Certainly would not pay extra for ventilated seats.

I think I am right in saying that the air is sucked in rather than blown out.

I have beige ventilated leather and apart from a few times when I have cleaned the blue denim dye off the only time it has been cleaned is when at the local car wash, so not very well or very often, and it still looks ok after nearly four years to me.

It is. 16 plate, I'm assuming they still do them but maybe you'd need to check. Be strange if they were discontinued.

Ventilated FRONT seats have been an option on the SEL and L&K since at least 2017. Looking at the configurator rather than the brochure (always a better option) it seems the L&K now gets vent drivers seat as standard. Cost for the SEL is about £1200 as it is only available with leather seats.

Hopefully when the new one arrives in about 2022 they will have a nice tan leather, wireless carplay map on both screens and the Scout version available in the UK .... I don't want much 🤣

I have ventilated seats on my Superb II, 12 plate reg that I bought new April 2012 and would always specify it now.

I have the beige cloth/alcantera and, as above, it is a much lighter and brighter place to sit, far less forbidding than the black interior.  Previously have had a Passat with Beige cloth (3 years 70k), an Octavia with beige cloth (4 years and 90+k) an Accord with light tan leather (4 yeas and 128k) and a Passat with beige cloth (4 years and 96k).  The only one that was black was the last Octavia when I couldn't wait for a factory order and the lease stock all had black interiors.

Not much effort keeping them clean and show less marks than the black.

Correct - air is sucked in.

I don't have a beige interior, but I'm loving the heated and ventilated leather seats.  Really really handy in both cold and hot months.

I have the ventilated seats in my 2016 L&K (Beige leather)...........I spend a lot of time in my car and the vented seats definitely help with comfort. My previous Volvo also had them, I would always spec on to the car......where available.

I had a MkII with a cream interior (miss that car)

I never had a problem with staining. Leather wipes as part of my weekly routine and a good deep now and again cleaning with Autoglym Leather Cleaner and a detailing brush. Finished off with AutoGlym Leather conditioner.

My L&K has the brown leather in it, it's a bugger sometimes as generally dust accumulating on the surface that is clearly visible makes my OCD go off therefore I always have a pack of Leather wipes in the rear door pocket.

I'm gonna go back to a light interior when I eventually change my car, just wish Skoda did a proper Tan leather like you get on Volvo's and BMW's.... I oddly like the look :)

Just got a 16 plate Mk3 with the light interior and have to say i love it and that was after spending way too long thinking about it.  Previous car was a MK3 with Alcantra, no issues, before that Mk2 with black leather, no issues either.  BUT for some reason the light interior feels like a nicer place to be.  The only bit that i have noticed marking up is the sill cover on the driver door  where it seems to have revealed that i drag one of my legs in and out which i wasn't really aware of before!  The ventilated seats are nice too, i've found that the lowest fan speed setting works best for me.  Only use it on really hot days (so not often) other wise the AC does the job.

Thanks for all the great feedback. Keep it coming

Hopefully one day there will be a Scout version in the UK with a tan interior :)
