Light problem...

Featured Replies

The light does not work when I pull the lever (flash). The bulb does not light, the coil works ... Coding or technical defect? Help please

Does the high beam come on when you push the lever?

  • Author
Yes it works! Only when the short light is on

If the road light is on, the flash goes on. If it's just positions or the road light doesn't go flash

The blue light comes on board, the headlamps do not light up

Do you have Halogen, Bi-Xenon or LED headlights?

P.S. Please use a smaller font, your replies scroll off the edge of the screen and are difficult to read B)

I worked through the codings from the lights and when I pull the lever towards the steering wheel the xenon no longer lights up.  Then when I push the lever toward the long beam it goes ... I need the codon that lights up xenon when you pull the lever towards the steering wheel.  At the moment only the blue light on the board is lit, the xenon does not. Please help coding

Start by posting a full autoscan from VCDS or similar.

What tool are you using?

Well, of course not. It's done what you told it, but not what you wanted.

The headlamp coil works when pulling the lever but no electricity reaches the bulb

It is either a method or coding to get to the factory default settings to light

  • Author

It's almost a coding problem ... but which one?  I'm thinking that going back to factory settings will work but how do I make factory settings to the lights?

I assume you mean VCDS?

In which case, you should update to the latest 19.6.1 version found here: https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/current.php

Then post an autoscan to show how your car is configured...

Does anyone know how to set factory settings to lights.  From vcds ... I want the settings as the manufacturer did

Unless you made a backup of the factory settings, VCDS won't be able to guess what they should be.

You could post an autoscan and an adaption map from the BCM (09) to compare to others?

What is the actual problem you have?

  • Author

How to draw a map of adaptation to BCM?  I don't quite understand ... You may have mistaken the LEDs that are on the fog lights even though they are canbus.  When scanning it does not give the light error

Couple of videos from Rosstech.

Autoscan:

Adaption map:

That should create two files in the logs directory, add them to your next post.

You should also explain what the problem is you have...

- Why do you want to restore the original light configuration?

- What is not working as expected?

When I pull the lever towards the steering wheel to signal with the headlights on someone in traffic as an example do not light up.  I figure it would be bad coding somewhere because he went coding.  I made the fog lights on the long light

At least to start with, the OP hadn't confirmed this was another thread about their main/high beam. Still, I've already requested a mod merge all three of there threads about this issue ;)

Hopefully this time, we'll actually get an autoscan and adaption map!

I appreciate much we can find a solution.  I tried to send a video but the resolution is high.  The headlamp is with only one bixenon bulb, so there are no two bulbs long beam and short beam ... When I pull the lever on board the blue bulb lights up but the bixenon does not work. Scan and maps tomorrow I'm at work today. Tanks

@Costel I've now merged your 3 similar threads into this one.

If you can keep everything here then people will be able to keep track of what's happening.
