2.0 - 1.8t?

Any chance I could pick your brains sometime about the additional wiring for a 1.8 swap? Got an AUQ that I’m probably going to strip and rebuild during this corona virus stuff.

Love the the colour of the wheels btw sit really well with the car colour 👍🏻

A donor is by far the easiest and most reliable method of swapping.

Ow yeah I’ve seen I just intend to rebuild the block with forged rods, new rings, bearings and so on. Then pick up an Ibiza and swap everything else over. I’d just rather not have to take the dash out tbh lol

sounds good. The standard AUQ cambelt tensioner is different to the BJX and the mounting and covers don’t quite fit right.

and taking the dash out is the easiest of all the jobs tbh. Depends on what wiring harnesses you choose to use.

This is a great project Ross.

The vRS bumpers and colour coded grill really do lift the car, and the Fabia Sport seats IMO are the the best looking seats for the mk1. vRS bolsters without the stupid fabric.

Shows how good a mk1 can still look. Hard to believe it's now over 20 years old.

A little update to the project, audio needed finishing.

Made up a box, then thought although within spec for the sub, I may have over done it a bit.

So resized and made a top for it.

Little window above the amp and cross overs

Upholstery wadding to give it the soft furnishing feel.

Faux leather vinyl material, in a subtle gold to tie in with other features on the car.

Some red LEDs to add some bling

Sith vibes

And then made a small modesty panel just to hide the wiring, pics of that to follow.

Love the combination of that colour with the gold wheels which suit the car so well. Top job as always.

This looks really nice, I'm hoping to be back in a Fabia soon.

I've been using EZ Car Care stuff for a while now and I'm pretty impressed with it. The Viper wheel cleaner is awesome.

I agree, I keep on top of my wheels anyway but it does make easy work, non acidic too.
