A few updates on the daily, largely based around the fact it's a bit of a mobile pond for all the usual Fabia reasons.

Interior out so carpets can be dried out and carriers sealed up.

New front window regulators and decided to upgrade the audio while I had them apart. Running OFC into the doors etc.

I also dug out an old (but still very good Alpine V12 amp and jazzed it up a little (sandblaster came in very handy).

The door have also been sound deadened and I've replaced a faulty door lock module.

Just pick up these too...

'Used' but not much (apparently). Bit of a clean and lube and they will be ample to slay on the roads of Malvern.

Bit more stereo install progress. Amp wire run from the battery and into the boot.

nice to see the heated washer jets all in place and actually working :)

A little update from the latest goings on (for those that may be interested).

The start of a very modest stereo install, mainly because I enjoy creating stuff and getting things working.

Can't stand the dash creak on the MK1 Fabia from above the centre vent so that was sorted, plus gave me a chance to run the RCAs neatly...

IMG_8183.JPG.5ffe45ea793e143eff70e0fccb921b09.JPG

And of course, install cruise control

NGSU0696.JPG.a4f98e547ad1a6d9b40d3294063e31d9.JPG

Also added a twin 12v socket/USB under the heater control panel, so that was wired into a vacant spot in the fusebox

IMG_8190.thumb.JPG.0b166e15375dbacdf10a130e95cf7930.JPG

Window regulators removed, cleaned up and sealed (after applying some sound deadening in the doors)

With that dry, the underlay and carpets and seats were cleaned and refitted

Coil-overs went on with new top mounts and shorter ARB drop links

Somebody's been a busy boy, no leaking or squeaking now then 😉 , upgraded with usb's & some shiny new stuff going on underneath it should give you a ride & stop with a smile now👍

Bwwwwaaarrrp, indeed😊

The bolted door carriers on the early models make things much easier don't they

Some progress pics of the used vRS bumpers I had dropped off, little bit of work required before they can be coated in Skodas finest Cayenne.
