why is that? is it so the bomb can bypass the filter?

Yeah, or you will be filtering what you are trying to spray onto the evaporator.

It's recirculate, it has a curly arrow indicating the air going round and round inside the car. No fresh air enters the vehicle at this point. Say I'm with my brother in his car and I am able to deliv

Can do it that way yeah

...Right then, Froggy8, it would seem from threads, the left and right hand side trims you want are part numbers,; 5j2863081d (Drivers side) and 5j2863082b (Passenger side).

They cost around £6 each last year and were the mat versions, not the polystyrene ones, that snap easily.

Look at this previous thread,

Copy and paste that and put it in the search box and it will give you the thread where I got mine sorted.

That is a very good point, but it does not get mentioned on the bomb tins, only to run on recirculate, so I have always thought that when on recirc the filter is being missed out, correct me if I'm wrong, every day can be a school day.

If your filters been in awhile it would kill bacteria in it, if your putting a new one in take out old one do clean then fit new cabin filter

But if the filter remains in the recirc air circuit then leaving an old filter in will do exactly what Tech1e said and strip the bio detergent out of the air flow, so not a good idea.

Conversely, if as I suggested/thought, the filter is now out of the recirc air flow then it would be okay, but who uses a bomb without planning on replacing the old filter?

Cabin filter is still in circuit on recirculation mode.

just done the cleaning process. the can only lasted about a minute, well it seemed around that. all i did was went back in house then came back out to check and there was nothing coming out of the can. talk about quick or what? anyway, i kept the engine running for few more minutes then opened all the doors and windows to air it out. i did take the pollen filter out when i did the cleaning process.

all i need to do is recharge the air con next.

Some of the cans show nothing coming out others loads,
