Hi,

I've managed to strip some of the black gloss off the plastic that sits around the gear shift.

I've found one on superskoda but it is for a manual LHD. I have a RHD auto (http://www.superskoda.com/fr/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-shifter-bottom-frame-from-RS-model-Carbon-design-original-Skoda-Autoas-LHD)

Does anyone know what the actual part is called? Or where I can find more of them?

Maybe a shifter bottom frame? Just a guess.

Did something similar to mine so ended up carbon wrapping its as a cheap fix.

Did you wrap that yourself?

Was the surround very hard to get off?

No all clips out. The tray was a bit of a sod. Used some decent wrap and a craft knife.

That looks terrific. Mines is the light silver colour and is all scratched. Was thinking about buying a new one but I’d do that no problem. 

 

Where did did you get the carbon wrap thanks?

 

 

Use this from a popular auction site. Do not use the cheap alternative.  It's easy with it being a decent quality product.

Hi, may sound a stupid question but which edge did you start to lift the gear lever surround from? Did you use any special tool to remove it? Not done this sort of thing before.

Plus two for this as I’d like to remove the piano black surround and try lid to polish and ceramic coat. The last owner wasn’t to kind to mine. 

as I recall a plastic trim removal tool and from the bottom edge, they come out quite easy just pull up, I think the gator comes off allowing you to get your fingers under the trim for extra leverage. Under there is a yellow lever (if DSG) to allow you to move the lever out of park. Just take your time you will be OK

can i know how do you remove that please? where to find any videos on those? i am going to remove to wrap it for both. mine is a Octavia MK3 2019 model RHD.
